Pat joined his dad’s firm as a wealth advisor in 1978 after graduating from Murray State University. Pat's main strength is building and maintaining long-standing relationships.

Pat has been married to Linda since 1982. They have three children and
three grandchildren. Pat enjoys competitive senior golf, pickle ball, general fitness and bee keeping.

Kyle Martin, CFP®,AAMS®

Managing Partner | Wealth Advisor

Kyle Martin joined Murphy Financial Group in 2017 as a Wealth Advisor. He is now the third generation in the practice following his uncle, Pat Murphy, and grandfather, Ken Murphy. Kyle focuses on managing client relationships through financial planning, asset and portfolio management, and insurance. Prior to joining the team, Kyle began his career at IBM followed by time at Powershares as an ETF specialist. 

Kyle graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Indiana Wesleyan University where he played on the golf team.  Indiana Wesleyan is also where Kyle met his wife, Allison, whom he married in 2012. They have three kids that certainly keep them busy - Sawyer, Henley and Barrett. Away from work, you will find Kyle spending time with his family or at the golf course. His passion for golf started at a young age playing with his grandfather, Ken.

Dan Carthew

Dan joined Murphy Financial Group in 2024 as a Wealth Advisor and leads our Retirement Plan department. With over a decade of experience in the industry, Dan has the expertise to assist our business-owner clients in navigating their retirement plan benefits to employees.  Additionally, Dan oversees many operations at MFG. In 2024, Dan was listed as one of NAPA’s Top 100 Retirement Plan Advisors Under 40. He also holds a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor designation.

 

In his free time Dan enjoys playing golf, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Caryn Fischer

Caryn Fischer joined Murphy Financial Group in 2000.  In her role as Wealth Advisor Coordinator, Caryn focuses on working closely with clients and their advisors in building their financial plans, cash flow modeling, retirement analysis, education needs and aggregating accounts in the eMoney Wealth Management System. In addition, she is a point of contact for day-to-day client service needs for investment accounts.

Caryn enjoys the outdoors and has fun spending time with her husband, three children and three grandchildren.

Madeline Schmitz

Director of Client Services

Madeline joined Murphy Financial Group in 2022 as the Director of Client Services. Like her cousin Kyle, Madeline is the third generation in the business, following in the footsteps of her father and grandfather. Elevating the client experience is Madeline’s top priority. She values clear communication and trusting relationships. She works diligently to fulfill client service needs and is dedicated to the MFG process that clients have come to love.   

Madeline graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University where she played on the golf team and earned bachelor's degree in psychology. She later attended the Erikson Institute earning a Master of Science.  

Madeline enjoys competitive golf, hiking, and wellness. She and her husband Max have been married since 2013 and have three children – Jack, Maeve and Gavin.
